What we believe
Junk removal shouldn't feel like a black box. You deserve to know what it costs, who's coming to your door, and where your items go after they leave your property. Compare regions anytime on the regional service map.
Upfront
Volume-based pricing in writing before we lift a single item. Published truck tiers stay fixed—no hourly clock, no fuel surcharge, no stair fee, no awkward conversations after the truck is loaded.
On time
If we promise an arrival window, we are inside it. If routing slips, you get a text — not silence. Same-day and next-day pickups available when our schedule allows.
Eco-first
Usable furniture, electronics, clothing, and household goods go to charities. Scrap metal, cardboard, e-waste, and appliances are routed to certified recyclers. Landfill is the last resort, not the default.
Our story
Show up on time. Quote it before you lift it. Give the stuff a second life when you can.
Why "Orange Crew"
Junk removal is a high-trust transaction in a category that has earned a low-trust reputation. Surprise invoices, day labor at the door, vague "starting at" pricing, and items that quietly end up in a landfill that the customer never sees.
We started Orange Crew to be the opposite of every one of those things. Bright orange shirts so you know who's at your door. A volume-based price quoted in writing before we touch a thing. A trained, background-checked crew that introduces themselves. And a real plan for where every item ends up after it leaves your space—mirroring the same homepage promises we publish publicly.
Boring? A little. But that's the point.
The crew at your door
Every crew member is background-checked and trained on furniture handling, appliance disconnects, narrow stair work, and post-job sweep-up. Bright orange shirts, branded truck, names exchanged at the curb.
You'll never open the door to day labor or a last-minute sub-contractor. The same kind of crew that shows up to a single sofa pickup shows up to a multi-day estate clearance — same uniforms, same checklist, same standards.
If something needs to be carried up three flights, disassembled in a basement, or shimmied around a tight hallway corner, that's our problem to solve, not yours.
Where your stuff goes
Every truckload gets sorted before it ever sees a transfer station. Usable items go to charities and community programs. Recyclable materials go to certified facilities. Only what cannot be reused or recycled is properly disposed of.
On average, that means 50–70% of what we pick up never reaches a landfill. For business and real-estate clients who need it, we provide donation receipts and recycling certificates for tax filings or compliance reporting.
It's slower than just dumping everything. It's also the only way to do this work without leaving a mess behind a different way.
Always free, always upfront
Walk-throughs, photo quotes by text, phone consultations — none of them cost a thing, and you are never locked in. Approve the price, we go to work. Don't, we shake hands and you owe nothing. Prefer numbers first? Model your load online before you call.
Who we help
Same crew, same pricing model — tuned for whichever side of the transaction you're on.
Spring cleaning, garage purges, room remodels — we make the mess disappear so you don't have to drag a thing to the curb.
In-home pickup →Office clutter, old desks, outdated equipment, extra inventory — we work after hours so your team isn't disrupted.
Commercial junk →Demolition debris, leftover materials, post-build site sweep — quick, dependable hauls that keep your job site moving.
Construction debris →Listing prep, post-tenant resets, leftover furniture clears — fast turnarounds so the keys can change hands.
Property cleanout →Apartment turnovers, common-area cleanups, illegal-dumping responses — on-call hauling that keeps the property looking right.
Multi-unit help →Bulk-item pickups, storage-room cleanouts, seasonal trash overflow — recurring schedules that don't burden residents or staff.
Recurring schedules →The 3 R's
A breakdown of what we actually do with what comes off your truck.
We give unwanted-but-usable items a second life through donation partners and community programs.
We help minimize landfill waste by removing only what's truly unusable and grouping jobs to limit trips.
We sort and route recyclable materials to certified processors instead of the transfer station.
Need documentation for a tax filing or compliance audit? We provide donation receipts and recycling certificates on request — just ask when you book.
How we work
Same model whether it's a single sofa or a full-property cleanout.
Trust & standards
General liability and workers’ comp on every job, with certificates of insurance available for property managers and contractors who need them on file.
Every team member is vetted, trained, and uniformed. The same standards apply on a single-sofa pickup as on a multi-day estate clearance.
Labor, hauling, sweep-up, recycling, and standard disposal are all baked into the tier price. The number you agree to is the number you pay.
Half to two-thirds of every truckload is sorted out before we hit a transfer station. Documentation available for tax or compliance reporting.
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, business checks, cash — collected after the job is done, never before.
Booked early enough, most jobs slot into the same day's route. Everyone else gets next-day — not "we'll see when we're around".
Common questions
Insurance, who shows up, how we price, what happens to your items, what we won't touch, and how to book.
Yes. Orange Crew is fully licensed and insured. Every crew member carries the coverage and training expected of a professional hauling team, so your home, workplace, and items are protected from the moment we walk on site. Certificates of insurance are available on request for property managers and contractors who need them on file.
Background-checked, trained, uniformed crew in branded orange shirts — never day labor, never an anonymous sub-contractor. The crew confirms your tier and price on site, lifts every item, sweeps the load zone, and leaves with a handshake.
Pricing is volume-based: you pay for the percentage of the truck your items fill, not for the hours we spend. Five published truck-load tiers run from $150 (1/8 load) to $650 (Full load), and single items start at $120. The price you agree to before we lift is the price you pay — compare our five-tier price chart first, then build my quote in about a minute.
On average we keep 50–70% of collected items out of landfills. Usable furniture, electronics, clothing, kitchenware, toys, and books are sorted for donation to charities and community programs. Scrap metal, cardboard, plastics, e-waste, and appliance components are routed to certified recyclers. Only what cannot be reused or recycled goes to disposal.
We do not transport hazardous materials — fuels, solvents, bulk wet paint, asbestos, propane, pressurized tanks, industrial acids, biohazards, medical waste, perishable food, firearms, or vehicles. Background reading: the EPA HHW overview and Illinois EPA programs spell out why those categories stay off the truck. If you're unsure about a specific item, text a photo to (224) 386-4836 and we'll tell you before we dispatch.
All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, business checks, and cash. Payment is collected after the job is done, never before.
Yes. Estate clearances, foreclosure cleanouts, downsizing transitions, and hoarding situations are handled compassionately and discreetly. We can work in unmarked trucks on request, sign NDAs for property managers and real-estate teams, and keep the schedule flexible for executors and family members.
